Our First Health Fair was a Success!
On Saturday, April 13, 2024, the Greenheart Foundation, and the Perth Wesleyan church joined forces to host a health fair aimed at promoting wellness within the community of Perth Village Mahaicony.
Participants
Forty-two attendees (35f,7m) were screened for blood pressure and blood sugar levels followed by consultation with a doctor. Additionally, weight & BMI were observed, and nutritionists offered personalized counseling sessions to address dietary concerns and promote healthier lifestyle choices.
Health care team included Doctors, Nurses, Nutritionists and HIV Counsellors.
HIV/AIDS testing and counseling services were available but only 3 people participated.
Medications were dispensed to patients as needed; individuals experiencing ongoing symptoms were encouraged to follow up with the doctor (Dr. Pyle) for referrals.
